Jan. 29th - Marple Historical Member & Guest Social at the 1696 Thomas Massey house from 1 to 5.
Feb. 18th - Colonial Dinner 5 P.M. Enjoy a seasonal colonial style meal served by costumed servers.
Feb. 28th – Lecture / 7:30 / Lafayette's Gold - An historic novel by Gene Pisasale set in the beautiful Brandywine Valley. "Lafayette's Gold" is a mystery thriller about the Battle of the Brandywine. The story highlights George Washington and the Marquis de Lafayette in a modern day mystery involving shady antiquities dealers and hidden treasure.
Mar. 27th – Lecture / 7:30 / Civil War / Bob Bardsley.
May 22nd - Marple Historical Society Preservation and Scholarship awards Dinner / 6:30 / 1696 Thomas Massey House.
Jun. 9th - Members picnic / time and location to be announced.
Jul. 28th - Indian Rock shelters in Marple – A Presentation by Kristin Lapos of the Native American Museum in Allentown on the archeological discoveries of an early Native American settlement in Marple Township.
Sept. 22nd - Colonial dinner 5 P.M. / Late summer colonial fare.
Sept. 25th – Lecture / 7:30 / Professor Nilgun Okur of Temple University will speak on the Underground RR in Delaware County.
Oct. 20th - Harvest Day Festival / colonial crafts and activities demonstrated between 10 A.M. and 4 P.M.
Nov. 10th - Colonial Dinner 5 P.M. / a harvest festival dinner.
Nov. 22nd - Frost Bite Run / 8 A.M. to 11 A.M. / Southeastern Pa. Antique Car Club Rally.
Presentations will be held at the Marple Christian Church next door to the Thomas Massey House. All other activities will be held at the 1696 Thomas Massey House.
Dinner reservations must be made at least 1 month in advance with a $10.00 non-refundable deposit. Reservations can be made by emailing thomasmasseydinners@gmail.com or calling 610-353-3644.
