Our 2008 list of events:
March 26: 7:30 P.M. The battle of Llanerch Junction. Haverford historian Mary Courtney will make a slide presentation on the early 20th century dispute between two rail transportation companies and it’s impact on development in Philadelphia’s western suburbs.
April 22: 7:30 P.M. Delaware County past & present Keith lockhart will discuss the history and many changes in Delaware County over the last 150 years.
May 27: Historical Society member preservation and scholarship awards dinner.
June 21: Historical Society members picnic.
July 26: Speaker / TBA.
Nov 19: Historical Society open house social. The social will begin at 7:30 in the 1696 Thomas Massey House.
Dec 3: Historical Society Christmas Event / TBA.
The February and April programs will be held at the Marple Christian Church adjacent to the Thomas Massey House.
